The fact that any standard radio alarm clock would be powered from the nearest mains socket means that this system can run 24/7 and still remain completely covert (no need to mess about changing or recharging batteries etc) and you can either set the system to stop recording when your SD card is full or to loop and record over the oldest recorded footage.

The product is a fully functional radio alarm clock too and even has a built in projector so that the digital time display can be seen on your ceiling or wall in dark conditions.

This all in one unit is ideal for capturing shots of wildlife, fly-tipping or pretty much any sort of covert surveillance in remote areas where mains power is not practical.

It’s a weatherproof box and has built in infrared & a motion detector (no flash to disturb the animals or alert the trespassers/fly-tippers etc). It’s called the trail camera as it’s extensively used for wildlife filming to capture elusive creatures on game trails without disturbing them or their natural habitat. However, this product is now being used considerably for capturing vandalism and fly-tipping in remote areas.

It offers date & time stamped digital stills or video footage (only stills are time & date stamped), the photos being stored on an SD card (1G max) inside the unit (device also holds 16MB of internal memory). You can then view the images/footage via your TV or on a PC (using the USB cable supplied).

The built in rechargeable battery can be recharged using the mains power adaptor supplied and will last (dependant upon activity) up to 2 weeks off a full charge – this means you can just go back to the camera every now and again to change the SD card without having to bring the unit back for recharging, there is a battery indicator on the internal LCD panel that will let you know when the battery is running low.

The product comes with a strap which is ideal for mounting the camera on a tree or post etc, aswell as a “lock hole” for attaching a padlock to give extra security should you think it necessary.
